2026 Youth-Led Prevention Implementation Grant

Presented in partnership with the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, this funding opportunity gives young people across Ohio the chance to take the lead in creating positive change in their communities.

The Youth-Led Prevention Implementation Grant is designed to support youth-led groups as they plan and launch meaningful initiatives that address real challenges facing their peers. Ohio’s young leaders have powerful ideas, and this grant exists to help bring those ideas to life.

What This Grant Supports

Through this opportunity, youth groups can design and launch initiatives that respond to the needs they see in their schools and communities.

Initiatives may address topics such as:

  • Substance use prevention

  • Suicide prevention

  • Mental wellness

  • Kindness and anti-bullying

  • Digital wellness and media literacy

  • Social drivers of health

  • Other youth-identified community needs

Projects should center youth voice, leadership, and meaningful engagement throughout the process.

Grant Details

Funding Period: March 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026

Application Deadline: January 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Award Notification: February 27, 2026

Maximum Award: $10,000 per youth-led group

Funding may be used to support planning, implementation, and execution of prevention initiatives led by young people.
