About Us

The Ohio Youth-Led Collective is a statewide initiative created to strengthen and expand youth-led prevention efforts across Ohio. Our focus is simple: empower young people to use their voices, their ideas, and their leadership to create healthier and safer communities.

We work with youth, adult allies, and organizations across the state to build a coordinated, inclusive infrastructure for youth-led prevention. This initiative is funded by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and supports the long-term goal of reducing substance use and suicide among Ohio’s youth and young adults.

Through statewide collaboration, shared training opportunities, and access to high-quality resources, the Ohio Youth-Led Collective helps groups grow their impact and make informed decisions that support real change in their communities.

What We Do

The Ohio Youth-Led Collective creates opportunities for youth and adult allies to learn, connect, and take action. Our work includes:

  • Statewide trainings and events that build leadership skills and elevate youth voice

  • Specialized training and technical assistance for youth-led groups and adult facilitators

  • Workforce development opportunities to strengthen the prevention field

  • Prevention project grants for youth-led groups

  • A statewide inventory of youth-led programs to guide resource allocation and support collaboration
